New Virtual Group
OCD Skills Group
A weekly, skills-focused group for people living with OCD. Each session you'll learn one practical tool from ERP, ACT, or I-CBT, practice it together, and leave with a clear plan to put it to work that week.
Why a Skills Group
Practical Tools You Can Use Between Sessions
OCD has a way of making insight feel like it should be enough. But lasting change usually comes from practice: learning a skill, using it when anxiety and doubt show up, and building confidence one repetition at a time.
This group is built around that idea. It isn't a general support group. Every week focuses on a specific, evidence-based skill, with time to practice, ask questions, and plan how you'll apply it in your own life.

Each Week
What a Session Looks Like
Every group follows a consistent structure, so you always know what to expect.
01
Learn One Skill
We focus on a single skill or concept drawn from ERP, ACT, or I-CBT, explained in plain language with examples of how it applies to real OCD struggles.
02
Practice Together
Put the skill into action in a supportive setting, with guidance on adapting it to your own obsessions and compulsions.
03
Take It Home
Leave with specific homework to practice the skill during the week, because the real progress happens between sessions.
04
Ask Your Questions
Each session includes open Q&A time to talk through sticking points, wins, and whatever is getting in the way.
Our Approach
Grounded in Evidence-Based OCD Treatment
Skills are drawn from three of the most effective, research-supported approaches for OCD.
ERP
Exposure and Response Prevention
The gold-standard treatment for OCD. Learn to gradually face feared thoughts and situations while resisting compulsions, so anxiety loses its grip over time.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Build a different relationship with intrusive thoughts and uncomfortable feelings, and practice moving toward what matters to you, even when OCD shows up.
I-CBT
Inference-Based CBT
Learn to spot the reasoning patterns that pull you into obsessional doubt, and rebuild trust in your senses and common sense in the here and now.
Your Group Leader
Ben Taylor, LPC/MHSP
Ben is an OCD specialist at Summit Counseling who uses ERP, ACT, and I-CBT to help clients break the cycle of obsessions and compulsions.
He leads the group with a practical, skills-first approach and meets with every member individually before they join, so each person starts the group with a clear sense of what they want to work on.

A Supplement to Individual Therapy
Designed to Work Alongside Your Individual Care
The OCD Skills Group is a great way to reinforce and extend the work you're doing in individual therapy. You get more structured practice, a new skill each week, and the encouragement of others who understand what OCD feels like.
This group is not a substitute for individual treatment or crisis care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
This Group May Be a Good Fit If You:
- Are working on OCD symptoms, with or without a formal diagnosis
- Want practical, structured tools rather than general discussion
- Are willing to practice skills and complete homework between sessions
- Want to supplement your individual therapy with additional support
- Are comfortable joining a virtual group on Google Meet
