Why the Holidays

Food Freedom and the Holidays

The holidays are full of food, family, and tradition, and often a lot of diet talk. Comments about seconds, "good" and "bad" foods, bodies, and New Year's resolutions can make it hard to stay connected to the intuitive eating work you care about.

This holiday intuitive eating group gives you a supportive space to challenge diet culture, practice skills grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES), and walk into gatherings feeling more confident, more prepared, and less alone.

Each session blends support with practical, weight-inclusive skills you can bring to your next holiday meal.

01

Challenging Diet Culture

Learn to recognize diet culture messages, from food rules to "earning" a holiday meal, and practice responding to them with curiosity instead of guilt.

02

Intuitive Eating Through the Holidays

Stay connected to hunger, fullness, and satisfaction during busy, food-centered weeks, and give yourself permission to enjoy holiday foods without the restrict-and-rebound cycle.

03

Body Image and Body Respect

Build tools for hard body image days, holiday photos, and clothing stress, rooted in Health at Every Size and body respect.

04

Boundaries at the Table

Practice what to say when family and friends comment on food, weight, or bodies, and plan ahead for the gatherings that feel hardest.
