Eras of Healing
Join us as we bring music lovers together for fun and meaningful discussions!
Eras of Healing is Summit Counseling’s new workshop series inspired by the music and messages of Taylor Swift. This series is perfect for adult Swifties seeking deeper connection, personal growth, and a space to discuss music themes with others.
This series uses guided discussion, reflection, and creative activities designed to explore themes of resilience, identity, relationships, healing, and more.
Why a Taylor Swift Themed Group?
Because we’re huge Swift fans obviously!
But also because we recognize that all of us have heard Taylor sing a lyric that could have been pulled right out of our own story. Her incredible ability to write songs that resonate so broadly makes her music the perfect medium to explore our own humanness.
And also, therapy should mimic the rest of life. It should have room for fun, be serious when it needs to be, encourage growth, and always feel safe!
What to Expect
This series is a process format. That means our therapist will bring a new theme to each session and the group will discuss experiences with that theme while incorporating music from Swift’s discography. Each meeting might include:
Guided Discussions
A counselor will facilitate open, supportive conversation about weekly themes—like confidence, identity, or relationships.
Taylor Inspired Activities
Lyric reflections, guided journaling, collaging, and Swiftie classics like friendship bracelet making.
Creative Expression
Music and storytelling are woven into the series to help facilitate insight and discussion. Singing and dancing skills not required (but welcome if you like!).
Peer Connection
A chance to share your journey and hear from others in a supportive, judgment-free space.
What You'll Do
No singing or dancing skills required! You just need to be you. Our therapist will create a safe and fun environment. You just need to bring a love for music and a respect for other Swift fans.
Confidential
We take confidetiality very seriously and expect our group series to be safe spaces for everyone’s story!
Comfortable
Share or don’t share as much as you wish. We’re here to encourage and have fun.
Reassuring
There’s something so powerful and healing about being supported in your vulnerability and knowing you’re not alone.
Supportive
You already know how supportive Swiftie culture can be; come feel it for yourself.
Fun
Obviously you can’t explore Swift’s music without having fun.

That’s completely normal. Most people feel pretty nervous about working in a new group; usually right up until it starts and then people wish they would have done it much sooner. Think of other small, safe, and vulnerable groups you’ve been a part of (teams, clubs, friends, family). Group therapy usually ends up feeling like a version of that.
No, you can join any group to supplement individual counseling (either at our practice or elsewhere, or you can just join for our group. There are no requirements to see an individual counselor here or anywhere else.
Nope! You don’t need to sing, play instruments, or perform. The focus is on reflection and conversation, not performance. Taylor’s music simply provides a relatable lens for exploring life themes.
